I have been giving them to my dogs for about 2 years now. They take about 2 weeks to start working and neutralizing the stomach acid but it does help. I have found out that if you miss one day though, you may end up with a few dead spots about 2 days later but you wont have to wait 2 more weeks for results, only a couple of more days. I just throw them in with their food and they gobble them up.

There's not much to say about this product except that it works. When I moved into my new house with the new lawn, my dog killed off parts of it immediately, so I went and got these pills ASAP. Since he's been on them, there have been no more dead patches of grass. I tried other brands of these type of pee pills/biscuits, and my dog didn't like them. He'd put them in his mouth, then spit them out. He seems to love these, and I give it to him in the morning as his 'treat'.

Used to have yellow pee spots from the dog before I started using this product. Now 2 years later, not one spot!

This product didn't work for either of my dogs. I gave the tablets as directed for over a month and there was not difference in the burn marks on my lawn. Easier to just give them a little tomato juice with their food each day. Don't waste your money....

We have used this product for over three years and it works great. No brown or dead spots in the lawn. Because we live in a snow area, we give this year-round so once the snow melts there are no lawn stains.

I've only been using this product for a month, so it's hard to really know how it's working, but my dogs love to eat them! One of my dogs is a 62 lb. pit bull and she hurt some ligaments in her knee about 8 weeks ago. The vet gave her some medication but he also suggested putting her on glucosamine. She's doing much better, running with no limping afterward. I've been giving glucosamine to my horse for 15 years so I don't know why I didn't start with the dogs sooner. You can't been the quantity and the price of this product.

This product really works well. I have a 7 year old pup who was starting to show signs of weak hips and stiffness. I could see that her joints were a bit stiff because it took her a while to sit or lay down. However, after a few weeks on this product, she's sitting much more quickly and she doesn't struggle with sitting or laying down. The downside to this product is that she doesn't like it!! Its a chalky pill that she spits out every time I give it to her. I have to coax her with a treat but its starting to get a bit tedious to bribe her every day. Good thing I bought the small bottle! Once its done (10 more to go!), I'm switching to something more palatable.

This is the best thing that I have ever used for my Golden. She has arthritus so bad that she cannot walk without this supplement. I give it 5 stars. It takes 30 days to start working!!! It is WONDERFUL for senior dogs. She is 12 years old and plays like a puppy!

Pup has been on this for about a month..starting to see slight improvement in the movement..don't expect a overnight improvement in any of these products..need to look for the long term ..will update as time goes on

my kittens like this - they don't rave about it. however, i am supremely impressed with how they look and act since they have been eating this. given that it is 100+ weather here, mixing this supplement with their food allows me to be able to sneak lots of water into their food as well. i slip and give them a more than directed, but i have had nothing but pleasure with it.

I priced Seameal at local stores, they couldn't touch the price available from this vendor. My Golden Retriever is pre-cancerous and I'm hoping that Seameal will help her to stay that way. Giving it to all four dogs just to keep them all healthy.

Solid Gold makes a variety of products which include SeaMeal. I have used this product for years now, off and on. I admit to cutting back like everyone else does right now because of the economy. I will tell you that within a month, I could see the difference in my dogs' coats. I have bought the supplement again and am cutting back in other areas, but not when it comes to the health and well-being of my companion animals. I highly recommend all products made by the Solid Gold company. They have an excellent line of petfood with holistic ingredients and high end ingredients. You might want to consider some of their other products as well.

My canines' coats have more shine & richer color because of the Solid Gold Sea Meal. Marley, Rover & Laine (the canines) happily eat the sea meal in their food. [...] got the product to me uber quick!

My yellow lab seems to shed much less after being on this supplement for a couple of weeks.

I've been using this on my legs for about a month now. I had a few spots where I have some spider veins. Although the spots aren't gone, they have faded a good deal and the general tone of my legs has definitely improved. Also I was getting some weird pains/pulsations that have completely gone away since using the product. Not a miracle cream, but I think it does work reasonably well. Also the smell is strong, medicine-like but I actually liked it after a while :)

I've only used it for about four days (day and night)and I feel the swelling of my legs at the end of the day has improved. The heaviness I felt on my legs has also subsided. I strongly beleive it will only get better!!! One little downside though, it smells like...a swamp (temporarily).

This cream it looks like it has a lot of plants in it and less chemicals, it has a specific smell but that's because is all natural. I don't know yet if it's going to cure anything but it feels good when I put it on. I will buy it again.

My grandfather had a German care giver who introduced him to horse chestnut cream (imported from Germany) back in the 60's. He swore it helped reduce his purple ankles, varicose veins, and scaling. When I developed some of the same symptoms, due to stasis, I thought I'd give the preparation a try. Good news, it is available in the USA and it seems to work. Even my doctor said he noticed an improvement. Guess like any medication you should let your doctor know what medications you are using, even topical preparations. Recommend reviewing the outstanding information about this product on the internet. It is available through many web sites, but Amazon seemed to have the best price. BTW, the cream instructions say to use for at least 6 weeks to get results, so you might consider purchasing several jars. Another thing, the cream has a strong odor some might find offensive. Ordered several additional bottles in December. They were never received and Amazon recently cancelled the order. Strange a company would list a product they can not supply. Still believe the product is great, just have a problem with a company listing product and taking more than a month to inform the customer they can not deliver an order.

Horse Chestnut Cream is a great product for circulation. I would recommend this product for use.

I ordered this item on the recommendation of a friend and reading articles about severe leg cramps. I ordered it and took it faithfully for a month at first no change in the leg cramps that kept me up nights and afterward made my entire legs hurt due to the severity of the cramps not just in calf but in arch of foot behind the knee and above the back of the knee terrible. Doctors have tried for years to help me with these cramps. the only thing that did help was quinine sulfate prescription only but has been taken off the market due to its effect on the heart and circulation. anyway i've tried every thing from drinking cider vinegar, taking mega dozes of potassium and drinking lots more water, you name it i tried it. but these did help after about a month now i take them about 3 times a week .. I still get a cramp once in a while maybe two nights in a row and they are still bad but it used to be 4-5 nights a week now its less than 3 nights a month so these have helped. I recommend them they helped me and I had about given up trying and trying to deal with the cramps that left me so tired so much of the time. hey if it helped me maybe it will help you too.

I have been taking 2 glucosamine pills a day for several years and decided to try Synflex after reading the reviews, so I stopped the pills and started taking the recommended dose of Synflex. After taking Synflex for a week, my joints became stiff and began to hurt a lot. I continued taking Synflex for a month, then stopped taking Synflex and resumed taking glucosamine pills again. After a few days back on the pills, my joints were less stiff and the pain lessened considerably. The weather and my activities were the same while I took Synflex and the pills, so they are not factors. Synflex did nothing to help my joint pain or inflammation.

I am commenting on the shipping. Paying $7 for this seller to ship this product is ridiculous. You can drop this thing in the mail and it only costs a couple dollars. In fact many sellers offer free shipping (do a search on Ebay, Dealtime, or google and you will find better.

My Golden Retriever is 10 years old now, and she moves a bit slower (especially with 2 titanium hips that she received at 6 months). She's still incredibly active, but isn't as quick out of the gates as she used to be. I figured that I would start her on some hip and joint meds, so I bought some pills to put in her food. Then I found these, which she loves. She's definitely not finicky, but she won't eat just anything either, and she gobbles these up. I've given her 2 a day for about 3+ months, and I've found 3 broken biscuits. Living in Colorado, nothing really goes stale out here, so I can't speak to that. She loves them, and they seem to be working.

My dog doesn't really like these very much. (...and really...what is the point of it coming in biscuit form if you practically have to force-feed it to your dog?...) I am also not really confident it does what it says. There may be some issue with my dog absorbing the nutrients from these. I switched to a different product after a few months of him not liking these and I noticed very rapid improvement in his joints and mobility within a few weeks! Obviously, this is not anything I would buy again...ever.

I began giving my older golden retriever these biscuits after she had a lot of difficulty getting up after a walk-what a big improvement. She has a lot more mobility.

With 7 large Greyhounds of my own plus fostering new Greys from the track all the time, this house has a minimum of 10 Greys in it at all times. I own and foster only special needs Greyhounds (never a shortage of them), mostly due to broken legs and hocks at the track. I make glucosamine a daily staple in their morning meals (with my Vet's approval of course), regardless of their ages. I've tried countless products, some they liked and some they turned their snouts up in rebellion. Even my 3 older ones who have about 7 teeth total among them like these. (For my toothless wonders, I crush them before adding to their bowl-break into pieces in my hands then use a small 'smack and chop' chopper on the cutting board and scoop the small pieces into individual bowls). My other 4 who still have most of their teeth wait for me at the top of the cellar stairs while I'm filling their bowls and placing one of these peanut butter biscuits on the top of each. While 1-2 try to distract me as I'm hauling all these bowls up the stairs, the others bob and weave in attempts to steal the treats out of the bowls as I near the top of the steps. Have to admit defeat on occasion when I'm not paying attention :( In any event, haven't met a Greyhound yet who does not love these. Not only that, I have seen remarkable improvement in agility, desire to play and romp, renewed interest in toys, consistent improvement in ease in pouncing on the beds, serious athleticism in swiping the tomatoes from my topsy turvys in the yard, even stealing a 3 lb pumpkin off the back step to munch on behind the tree in the back yard. The younger ones have resumed 'running laps' around the yard while the older ones (2 are 11, 9, 8, 5 and 2 are 4) seem younger and instigate play more often than before. They are energetic, not as stiff after a nap or nighttime, want to do more, play more, walk more/further and, while it may be my imagination, the older ones seem to be eating better. (They had gotten to a point where sometimes they would eat, sometimes not, sometimes just nibble a few bites and walk away). All in all, they like this product and I am thrilled already with the positive changes I see in my 'kids' who are always with me and the fosters who arrive in rough shape but leave for happy, responsible homes upon adoption. I dislike pumping meds into any pet when something else will help. I'm sticking with this product. It works for me and mine. I wouldn't purchase 7-10 6 lb bags of this product at a time if my pups weren't exhibiting such remarkable improvements. Their quality of life has definitely improved. Packaging says to allow 4-6 weeks for best results but it took less than 3 weeks for me to begin seeing significant changes in all of my guys and gals. Can't wait to see what 6+ weeks of using this product will produce! Each ALL NATURAL biscuit contains 500 mg glucosamine and is a substantial 'treat'. Biscuits are approx. 3-4" long and perhaps .75" high and quite crunchy to promote strong teeth and healthy gums. They are a bit difficult to break other than in halves. After that initial break, they are too tough to break into smaller chunks, thus the need for my abovementioned 'chopper'. Each bag purchased to date has arrived in excellent condition. Out of 14 6-lb bags to date (2 separate orders), only 2 biscuits were broken in half; nothing was crushed or broken into small chunks. Very little residue at bottom of resealable bags. Unfortunately, I did count the biscuits in the first 2 (original order) bags to determine whether or not I would stick with this product pricewise, but I've forgotten now what that count was so I cannot share that at this time. And because I'm back to order more, if I remember, I'll update this review when I count them again. Directions for use: 1/2 wafer/biscuit per 40 lbs body weight twice daily. One problem I've experienced in caring for an older dog is finding a glucosamine supplement that our 65 lb., 15 year old Akita/Chow-chow mix would really like eating. Finding one that our dog, Kuma-chan liked eating was a challenge. We've tried tablets in her food and she would smell it mixed in and not eat until the next day. Other biscuit type supplements were left uneaten. Sometimes the gel capsule would be left at the bottom of her dinner bowl. As soon as the Nutri-Vet Hip & Joint Peanut Butter Large Dog Biscuits arrived, I offered a biscuit to Kuma. She took it, wagged her tail and came back for another one! Now, she knows that she only gets one every morning before her chicken jerky treats! It's great when you don't have to force feed your best friend! What a relief to see Kuma walk with minimal stiffness or pain in her hips after a couple of weeks.

My 9 year old Golden has joint problems. I found that it was easy giving her the recommended dose of glucosamine in wafers. She is happy and looks forward to her daily treat.

Our dogs like them. Seems like the easiest way for us to get our dogs to eat the glucosamine that we've found so far.

After shoving a variety of gluc/chond pills down my dog's throat in recent years, we've both been ecstatic to find a "pill" that he actually begs for. I throw it in at the bottom of his food bowl, and he feels like he's getting a treat. I certainly am. Fair price, great product.

This product is great and allows my foundered Shetland to get out and run with the others. Otherwise, she would be confined to a drylot all summer. She knows she has to put it on to go out so she is willing to wear it. Although she does manage to get it slipped off her muzzle at times and dangles below her chin allowing her to eat grass. So I have to monitor her or figure out a way to tighten it down more. She has rubbed it on trees trying to get it off so the strap is frayed but it was definitely worth purchasing since it allows her freedom out in the pasture.

This book is a wonderful resource for horse owners wanting good advice and recommendations from an equine Vet on nutritional problems. Dr. Kellon is well respected and conducts small scientific tests on the products she recommends. You can look up the problem your horse is having in the index and see what she recommends and what is special about the product that makes it work.

Information filled book, a real must have for anyone owning or taking care of a horse!

I really liked this book. It had a lot of useful info that was presented in an organized way. I also found it helpful that specific supplements were tested and recommended for each topic ("Skin and Coat" or "Immune System", etc). This book is money well spent.

Working with Dr. Kellon has given me a whole new way of thinking about equine nutrition and this book is a wonderful "at home" reference. Never again will I believe the hype and sales pitches of feed and supplement manufacturers. I now know how to figure out exactly what my horse's diet does and does not need. The information in this book is presented in Dr. Kellon's no-nonsense, scientifically based style which is both refreshing and reassuring. If you want a straightforward guide to supplementing your horse, this is it.

I like this book and it's format very much. I have several of Dr. Kellon's publications and this one is as good as all her others. I agree with Ms Larson's comment about her First Aid book. I keep my copy in my first aid box (a step-stool toolbox) so that it's right where I need it - at the barn or on the road in the trailer. This book caught my eye as a horse owner and horse lover; I also study holistic treatment modalities and had high hopes for this book. Written by a DVM, who obviously practices more traditional western vet care, the text is clearly written with even a tinge of humor. Although herbal medicine is treated rather disdainfully, his articulate and concise descriptions of medications and supplements is very useful. He explains the action of the drug/supplement, product claims, precautions, and side effects. Dr. Ramey is very good at dispelling confusion about the multitude of products available for horses, while speaking in terms the average layman can understand. Though not quite what I was after, all in all, a good book that I will not part with; another reference book I recommend to equine professionals and/or hobbyists. Think of it as a horse owner's version of a Physician's Desk Reference.

I originally purchased Bag Balm for my tattoo healing, because I had an allergic reaction to A&D ointment and Bag Balm was suggested. It definitely worked with healing my tattoo. And then I started reading online about other people's uses for it. Here's what I've used it for so far: * tattoo healing * moisturizer for feet (and hands): put it on your feet before you go to bed, slip on some socks and your feet will be softer and smoother in the morning. * acne: You can only do this 2-3 times a week because it's so greasy, but when my skin is breaking out really badly, I'll put a very thin layer on my problem areas before I go to bed and in the morning my really bad zits are more healed my tiny zits are practically gone and my skin is incredibly smoother. * hair: I have bleach blond hair and there are times when it's like straw. Desperate to save my hair I put a thin layer on my problem areas and went to bed. Woke up in the morning and washed and conditioned my hair (you kind of have to rake the balm out of your hair with your fingers to get it out) and today it feels like actual hair and it's soft and silky feeling! Some people will put it on their scalp if they have really bad dandruff, but I used it on the ends of my hair. * sores: My husband gets these odd sores on the back of his head that are in his hair. When they get really bad we put some bag balm on them and they are healed by the next day. This is the only thing that's ever worked for him. Besides the greasy feeling and the medication smell (which isn't really that bad) this is my miracle worker for anything that is dry and needs healing.

The Bag Bum work really good,we started using it on our Guniea Pig after A week or so the Scap is gone.

I tried this to heal some abrasions from road cycling. It did an admirable job, but left deep, greasy stains on whatever I was wearing. I haven't been able to get most of them out.

My 7 month old had horrible diaper rash. It was flaming red. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic cream, but after 4 applications, it was worse! I read so many great things about Bag Balm on the internet, I decided to give it a try. I was very skeptical. I started rubbing it on his sore hiney yesterday around 3pm. I put it on again at 6pm after his bath. I set my alarm and got up at 12:30am to change his diaper (the last thing I wanted was him to sit in a wet diaper) and I was shocked to see the diaper rash was about 80% better!! It looks better and better with each diaper change, and I am sure by tomorrow it will be totally gone. I thank GOD for this product. It truly works miracles! As far as the smell goes, it is a nice clean smell. The thing is, that it is a "natural" smell. If you are used to smelling chemically smelling soaps and laundry detergents, etc., you will probably find the smell repulsive. If you are really into organic, natural things, you will probably like the smell.

This product is nice for my English Bulldog. His nose usually looks cracked because they lick alot and the toungue passes over their nose all the time, so it get's dry and cracked. I tried this product on his nose and within a week I noticed it was a more natural black is the best way to describe it and it now looks and feels softer. I put a light coating in the morning and later at night, and that seems to do the trick. Bag Balm is a very good product...

I received as a birthday present last year (great gag gift, Dad). I finally opened it up after finishing Gold Bond Ultimate comfort. This stuff is 'softer' due to its talc formula and applies smoother than corn starch. The scent is nice too. I recommend this product though I have only been using it for 4 days.

I use this stuff when i do active sports like Motocross, Cycling, Mountain Biking, etc... Excellent sweat absorber and anti-friction, plus a great cool feeling.

Gold Bond works much better than this stuff. It cools better and seems to absorb better too. Anti Monkey Butt does nothing that Gold Bond or the generics don't, and I don't like the fragrance at all. It smells like a diaper mixed with perfume. The monkey butt gimmick is just that- a gimmick to get you to buy a mediocre product. I'll be going with another brand.

Anti Mokey But Powder -What to say, talcum powder is talcum powder. What is in a name? Everything I guess, because that was the sole reason I purchased this product. It makes a cute gift for the guy/gal in your life that you just want to make laugh.

I havent tried Gold Bond. And I was using Zeasorb. This absorbs as well and smells a lot better. Both AMB & Zeasorb absorb MUCH better than the dollar store powder in my experience. Zeasorb just smells terrible.
